ストーリー
Sandor Brodszky was a Hungarian landscape painter of the mid-19th century, trained in Vienna and Munich in the years when romantic landscape was the fashionable thing to study. He specialised in mountains, old castles and shifting weather, often the hilly country of Upper Hungary, the region that is now Slovakia. This is a quiet evening scene from around 1850, the light going soft and low at the end of the day. Brodszky belonged to the circle around Karoly Marko, the leading Hungarian landscapist of the age, and he spent his career painting picturesque views in that manner rather than chasing anything new.
