Support
Write to support@musescope.app and a person will answer. We reply within three business days, usually sooner.
Something is wrong with an artwork, artist or museum
Report it from inside the app rather than by email: open the item, tap Report an issue, and pick what is wrong. The report brings its own evidence — which record it was, in which language, and exactly the text you were reading — so we can find the problem without asking you to describe it. Replies appear in the app under Settings → Support Requests.
You can report without an account. Sign in later on the same device and the reports made there come with you.
Common questions
How do I manage or cancel Premium?
Premium is an Apple subscription, so it is managed in your Apple Account, not in MuseScope: Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your iPhone. Cancelling stops the next renewal and keeps your access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
Deleting your MuseScope account does not cancel the subscription. Cancel it first.
I paid on another device and Premium is missing
Sign in to MuseScope with the same account you used before, open your plan in Profile and tap Restore Purchases. Your access lives on the server rather than on the phone, so it follows the account.
How do I claim the free month promised to the waitlist?
If you sign in with the same email address you used to join the waitlist, it is applied automatically. Sign in with Apple can hide your address, so in that case open Account → Redeem waitlist offer and enter the email you signed up with.
How do I delete my account?
Settings → Delete account, inside the app. It removes your email, name, favourites, history and your conversations with the guide. What happens to each kind of data is set out in the privacy policy.
Why do I run out of audio guides?
Listening is the one thing with a daily allowance: five audio guides a day without Premium, unlimited with it. Replaying a guide you already started today costs nothing. Reading is never limited, for anybody, and the day turns at 02:00 in your own timezone.
Why is this painting blurred?
Because it is still under copyright. We can tell you what the work is and tell its story, but we may not show you the picture. Works in the public domain are shown in full.
The camera did not recognise the painting
Try the label on the wall: MuseScope reads the caption before it looks at the picture, and a straight, well-lit shot of the label is the most reliable scan there is. Failing that, search by title — a scan that finds nothing is never counted against your daily allowance.
Which languages does MuseScope speak?
Ten: English, Spanish, French, Italian, German, Brazilian Portuguese, Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Russian. The interface language and the language of the stories are set separately, in Settings.
