L'histoire
Collective attribution for the Unicorn Tapestries (The Hunt of the Unicorn), a set of seven hangings made about 1495 to 1505. The designs are credited to an unnamed artist working in Paris, while the weaving was carried out by workshops in the South Netherlandish tapestry centres around Brussels. The panels are woven with a wool warp and wool, silk, silver and gilt wefts, and hang today at The Met Cloisters in New York. No individual designer or weaver has been identified by name.
